TICRA Foundation sponsors the H. C. Ørsted silver medal
We are proud to announce that the TICRA Foundation initiates a 4-year collaboration with the Society for the Dissemination of Natural Science (SNU) in Denmark.
Starting this year, the TICRA Fundation will give an annual donation for the award of the H. C. Ørsted silver medal and a travel grant of DKK 20,000 to the recipient. An additional donation is given to support SNU’s ongoing efforts to convey natural science in Denmark.
The objective of the H. C. Ørsted silver medal is to honor skilled teachers and lecturers at universities as well as researchers and engineers in companies that contributes with particular efforts to create synergy and cooperation between companies and universities within the electro technical subject area.
Throughout the years, the TICRA Foundation has supported the electro technical engineering science community, by distributing grants to research projects and test equipment as well as travel grants for university staff and students. The TICRA Foundation looks forward to continuing the support of higher education and research within the electro technical engineering sciences in Denmark and abroad.
SNU was founded by Hans Christian Ørsted in 1824 with the objective to support and create an interest in science. SNU continues to contribute to creating living communication and dialogue opportunities between citizens and the scientific frontrunners in the most accessible technical and science disciplines.
