TICRA Tools 26.1 is released

06 Oct 2026

TICRA Tools 26.1 introduces more intuitive modelling workflows, expanded antenna design capabilities, and enhanced array performance and optimisation.

This new release provides:

  • Intuitive Modelling Workflow: Enhancements to the CAD editor make building and editing geometry more intuitive, streamlining the overall modelling workflow.
  • Expanded Design Flexibility: Extended capabilities allow for more versatile patch antenna designs and a broader range of array configurations.
  • Enhanced Performance and Robustness: Faster, more stable array meshing and new optimisation goals.

More details on selected features can be found below.

With an active Technical Support and Maintenance (TSM) contract, you may download TICRA Tools 26.1 on the TICRA support site. Here, you can also find the release note with details on all new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

Enhanced CAD Editor (ESTEAM, CHAMP 3D, ARRAY)

Broader, more intuitive and more flexible tools for building and modifying geometry directly within TICRA Tools.

Transformations have been redesigned to make editing models more intuitive and to better align with the TT Hierarchy.

Detach now works on edges, allowing users to separate connected edges before further editing or repair of a CAD import.

Better handling of CAD imports. It is now possible to auto scale the units and split the geometry with TICRA Tools.

Expanded Patch Antenna Modelling (ARRAY)

Greater flexibility for modelling patch antennas with substrates.

This enables users to place objects below the ground plane, cut holes in the ground plane, and improve slot modelling.

Additional flexibility has been added for modelling patch antennas.

Improved Array Meshing (ARRAY)

Improved meshing performance for full-wave and infinite arrays, with more stable and faster computations.

Improved array meshing delivers faster and more reliable modelling.

Improved Optimisation Goals (ARRAY)

New capabilities added to TICRA Tools’ powerful optimisation routines. These include additional optimisation goals for S-parameters across various array types and active reflection coefficients, as well as faster multibeam array optimisation.

UQ included

From this release, our Uncertainty Quantification tool will be included at no additional cost with all ACTIVE TSM agreements.

UQ enables you to evaluate the impact of manufacturing tolerances, material properties and other design uncertainties on antenna performance.
