November 20, 2008: Cecilia Cappellin receives Best Paper Award - Again!

At the AMTA 2008 Awards Banquet in Boston Cecilia Cappellin received the Award for Best Paper AMTA 2007. The paper, titled "On the relationship between the spherical wave expansion and the plane wave expansion for antenna diagnostics" is co-authored by Aksel Frandsen (TICRA) and Prof. Olav Breinbjerg (DTU). It shows how a SWE can be transformed into a PWE to allow for efficient antenna diagnostics in spherical near-field measurements. On the same occasion Dr. Aksel Frandsen and Dr. Frank Jensen were awarded the title of AMTA Senior Member. Congratulations are in order and, according to the age-old TICRA tradition, cakes and bubbly. The paper can be read here.

August 2008: Peter Meincke joins TICRA
On August 1st Dr. Peter Meincke joined the TICRA team. Peter comes from a position as associate professor at the Electrical Engineering Department of The Technical University of Denmark, where he has been employed since 1997. Peter’s areas of expertise are antenna theory and design, electromagnetic field theory, computational electromagnetics, and wireless communications. We feel lucky and privileged to have Peter on board and we are convinced that our customers will appreciate Peter’s future contributions to TICRA software and research activities.
