Christian has been employed at The Technical University of Denmark at various institutes at a half time basis, since 1977 as an Associate Professor. At the same time Christian and two associates formed TICRA, dedicated to provide engineering consultancy in the field of advanced antenna design and analysis, in particular within the space segment. He has authored or co-authored 60 papers within the fields of scattering of waves, acoustical or electromagnetic, from complex shapes such as antennas or satellites.

A new method to analyze reflectarrays with rectangular patches is proposed. While the standard procedure has been to calculate the electric currents on the patches using e.g. a periodic Green's...

The scattered far field from a halfwave dipole illuminating a perfectly conducting quarterplane is calculated. The calculation is based on a calculation of the radial electric and magnetic field...

The spectrum of creeping waves that can exist on the surface of a dielectric coated cylinder is determined by the poles in the Green's function for the cylinder. Accounts of the position of these...

Modern communications satellites are equipped with high gain reflector antennas with contoured beams for various purposes. A contoured beam of complex cross section is generated by exciting...

The paper presents various methods for the calculation of the field reflected from a subreflector in a dual reflector antenna system. It is demonstrated that the physical-optics (PO) solution...

Two transformations for accelerating the convergence of infinite M-dimensional series are presented. They are generalizations of Shanks' e- transformation and Levin's one-dimensional...

A waveguide polarizer with resonant notches in a septum is investigated. The Wiener-Hopf technique is employed to derive theoretical design data and the results are compared to experiments for a...

The caustics for the singly diffracted rays from a circular disk are investigated when the rays emanate from a source which is placed off the axis of the disk. Either two or four singly diffracted...

The near-field and the far-field patterns from the high-gain S band antenna on the METEOSAT are calculated by the geometrical theory of diffraction. The far field is transformed into the near...
