If you are like me, you have enjoyed the GRASP 9 GUI for many years, taking advantage of all its capabilities whilst living with some of the obvious inconveniences. So what will happen, when you open GRASP 10?
You will be greeted by a modern look and a different layout of the menus and commands. But with your basic knowledge of GRASP you will know what to look for and you will very soon find out how to do the things that you did in the past. But will you also spot the many new features? One of my favorites, for example, is the new project structure which saves me from specifying umpteen file names as I make design iterations, and enables me to roll back to precisely the configuration that gave me the desired results.
We have made a little write-up of what we think could be useful knowledge for you. It is contained in the GRASP Reference Manual, but I have extracted the information for your convenience here:
Let me know if you have some additional thoughts on this. I invite you to also bring to my attention other topics that we could consider for this column.
